A Call to Prayer

A Call to Prayer Reminder from Archbishop Foley Beach

Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ Jesus,

In this season of the Holy Spirit, I am writing to remind you to pray for the College of Bishops as we prepare to select the new Archbishop and Primate of the Anglican Church in North America. In exactly one month from today, on June 20, our bishops will gather in Conclave and in prayer in LaTrobe, PA, to seek the Lord for our leader for the coming five years.

Please join me on Wednesdays or Fridays setting aside specific times of prayer (and fasting) asking for God’s discernment, wisdom, and guidance.  Also, please include this request in your Sunday prayers.

Almighty God, giver of every good gift: Look graciously on your Church, and so guide the minds of the bishops of our Church who shall choose a new Archbishop for this Province, that we may receive a faithful pastor who will preach the Gospel, care for your people, equip us for ministry, and lead us forth in fulfillment of the Great Commission; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. (adapted from BCP 2019, for Selection of Bishop or Other Minister)

Faithfully yours in Christ Jesus,

The Most Rev’d Dr. Foley Beach
Archbishop and Primate, Anglican Church in North America
Bishop, Anglican Diocese of the South
Bible Teacher, A Word from the Lord

Last Sunday School

We are approaching the end of the academic year and will take a summer break from our weekly Sunday School hour and Wednesday Evening Fellowship.

The last Wednesday we meet will be: May 22nd @ 5:15 p.m. for dinner and 6:00 p.m. for Evening Prayer.

Our last Sunday School meeting will be held on May 26th @ 9:15 a.m.

Please make plans to join us!

Ascension Service TONIGHT!

If you are at all available, please make plans to join our church family at a special service of Holy Communion to mark the Feast of the Ascension. The service begins at 6:30 p.m. and all are welcome and encouraged to attend.

The Posture of Reverence

Please take a moment to read and deeply ponder the article “The Posture of Reverence,” which was featured in the latest edition of North American Anglican and written by our own Caleb Symons. It is a meaningful reflection that encourages us to take account of our attentiveness to our soul and Christ’s call for us to humbly listen to Him. Rev. Elijah B. White III

The Vestry, Capital Campaign, and Building Committees are blessed to continue the efforts to make the proposed Rev. Elijah B. White III Parish Hall a reality for our parish family. This is a friendly reminder that our ability to determine the next steps is incumbent on the feedback received from the congregation, so please provide your pledge forms as soon as you are able, no later than July 1. Thus far, we have already received $300K in pledges – Praise the Lord!

If you have any specific questions or comments, please reach out and email them to: [email protected] .

Thank you!

An enthusiastic parishioner volunteered to freshen up our handicapped spaces and  parking lot lines. Thanks to our anonymous volunteer who painted by hand the lines and symbols!

Cemetery/Memorial Wall

The Church of Our Saviour is blessed to have the both a cemetery and a Memorial Wall on our property. Any member who wishes to reserve either a niche in the Memorial Wall or a plot in the cemetery should see Dan Bell or email him at [email protected].
