ARDF bringing aid to survivors of the Israel attack

ARDF is currently partnering with CMJ-USA to raise support for CMJ-Israel, currently coordinating aid for those displaced by the war. Their current efforts include:

  1. Distributing food, hygiene products, clothes, and children’s toys to displaced families.
  2. Coordinating housing for displaced families.
  3. Offering remote support to Christian families currently in Gaza.

In addition, ARDF is actively reaching out to see which other partners will be able to provide aid in Gaza when the situation allows. As long as it doesn’t compromise anyone’s safety, we will update our website as we identify these partners.

Please be in prayer for those suffering and if you are able to give, please visit the link below to donate.

A Message from Fr. Dresser ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ

To Our Friends at Church of Our Savior,

Thank you for the generous gift. We are very encouraged by your thoughtfulness and support.
The gift came at an opportune moment. Having been delayed due to medical reasons, your generosity provided both the financial and emotional incentive to keep things in perspective.
Many good things will happen at the school. We are now seeking affiliation with other Anglican schools. That affiliation will be the first step towards accreditation and the gathering together of the many Anglican colleges (theology, agriculture, nursing, etc.) in Malawi. Recent events in the Province of Central Africa have made orthodox theological education a vital factor in the preservation of the Church in Malawi’s future. Again, thank you for your generous gift.

Blessings,

Robert C. Gresser+

Missionary, Society of Anglican Missionaries and Senders

Congratulations Nathan and Lauren!

We are so pleased to announce that Nathan and Lauren were engaged in late January. Please begin and continue to pray as they plan for and prepare for their upcoming nuptials. Congratulations!

You can find more information about this in the weekly e-News.

Rest In Peace, The Rev. James A. Basinger

Beloved in Christ,
The funeral service for Fr. James will be held at All Saints Episcopal Church in Alaska, this Saturday, February 10th at 7:00 p.m. EST. You can find a livestream video at the St. Andrews Facebook page HERE.

He will be inurned in the cemetery of the Church of Our Saviour. The date and time of the graveside service have yet to be determined.

In Christ,
Jonathan+

Beloved in Christ,

I received word this afternoon that the former rector of the Church of Our Saviour, The Rev. James A. Basinger, died this morning in the faith and fear of Our Lord, Jesus Christ. He was blessed to be surrounded by his family at the time of his passing. I beg your prayers for his family, especially his bride, Donna.

Fr. Jim was a holy man and a tremendous gift to the Church. We mourn our loss and earnestly thank God for the grace which He showered on us through Jim+. Finally, we give thanks for the certain hope that Jim+ had in the resurrection of Christ and by faith we anticipate the day when we will be reunited with Him in glory.

His funeral is scheduled for February 10th in Alaska. He will be inurned in the cemetery of the Church of Our Saviour. The date and time of the graveside service have yet to be determined.

In Christ,
Jonathan+

REMEMBER thy servant, James, O Lord, according to the favour which thou bearest unto thy people, and grant that, increasing in knowledge and love of thee, he may go from strength to strength, in the life of perfect service, in thy heavenly kingdom; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who liveth and reigneth with thee and the Holy Ghost, ever, one God, world without end. Amen.

ALMIGHTY and everliving God, we yield unto thee most high praise and hearty thanks, for the wonderful grace and virtue declared in all thy saints, (especially Fr. Jim Basinger) who have been the choice vessels of thy grace, and the lights of the world in their several generations; most humbly beseeching thee to give us grace so to follow the example of their stedfastness in thy faith, and obedience to thy holy commandments, that at the day of the general Resurrection, we, with all those who are of the mystical body of thy Son, may be set on his right hand, and hear that his most joyful voice: Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. Grant this, O Father, for the sake of the same, thy Son Jesus Christ, our only Mediator and Advocate. Amen.
