Seminary Course May 15-17

Seminary Course at the Church of Our Saviour

If you have an interest in deepening your understanding of the Bible, consider signing up for Cranmer Theological House’s Biblical Theology I course, which will be held on the  campus of the Church of Our Saviour, May 15-17.

This Biblical Theology course intends to help the student to read the whole Bible as Christian Scripture.  This course traces redemptive historical themes throughout the Old Testament, specifically demonstrating how they find their fulfillment in the Person and Work of Jesus Christ in the New Testament.  Special attention is given to the major stories within the Old Testament and how they fit into the central message of Scripture.

The Course will be taught by the Rt. Rev. Dr. Charles F. Camlin. He holds a PhD from the University of Middlesex, centring on English Reformation controversies around the Apostles’ Creed, as well as a Master of Theology degree from Dallas Theological Seminary and Cranmer Theological House, Texas. He is the Dean of Cranmer Theological House, editor of Cranmer Theological Journal, co-editor of the book Re-formed Catholic Anglicanism, and is a member of the Society of Anglican Theologians. He is married to Brett and they have three children and five grandchildren.

For more information or to sign up, please contact Fr. Jonathan.

Mission Trip to Cuba

Marcos Dalton’s Short Term Mission Trip to Cuba

Marcos Dalton left for a four-day mission trip to Cuba on Wednesday. The Reformed Episcopal Church (REC) has countless Churches and preaching stations there. Cuba has been impoverished by the communist party’s policies, and the Church, therefore, is heavily reliant on international support to sustain its gospel ministry. Marcos carried a suitcase full of basic supplies such as over-the-counter medications, toiletries, hand tools, water filters, etc., as well as $5,000 cash from the REC Board of Foreign Missions for the support of the clergy and the Church. Please pray for Marcos and the Cuban Church.

ALMIGHTY God, whose compassions fail not, and whose loving-kindness reacheth unto the world’s end; We give thee humble thanks for opening Cuba to the light of thy truth; for making paths in the deep waters and highways in the desert; and for planting thy Church in all the earth. Grant, we beseech thee, unto us thy servants, and especially Marcos, that with lively faith we may labour abundantly to make known to all men thy blessed gift of eternal life; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

You can read more about the Cuban Church by clicking on this link.

Adult Choir

Would you be interested in participating in our adult choir this year? If we have enough voices, the group will rehearse on Wednesday nights from 6:00-7:00 p.m., beginning September 24th, and provide a musical contribution in the 10:30 a.m. service at least every few weeks, as well as special music during holidays. Please contact Steve Mouton at [email protected] if you’re interested or have any questions.
